More than a dozen Apple’s Chinese distributors are receiving preliminary approval from India to expand in the country, helping the giant’s efforts to expand its conference network beyond China.
AirPods and iPhone assembler Luxshare Precision Industry Co. is part of the glass manufacturers Sunny Optical Technology Group Co is among the companies being approved, people familiar with the matter said, asking not to be named because the approvals are not known. Approvals from India’s top ministries are part of the process to be approved in order to raise funds in India, and the companies may still need to find Indian businesses, the people said.
