“What’s really exciting about these new certifications is that they provide a way for students to focus on a specific field within the industry,” said Dave Sordi, Aims instructor in Industrial Technology and Energy Studies in a news release. “For students who don’t have the desire or time to earn a two-year degree or full-time certificate, it allows them to quickly learn about these courses and use them to increase their career opportunities.”
The addition of these permanent certificates is expected to increase the enrollment of Aims students in the Industrial Technology program and may attract students in other degrees who want to study robotics, energy, or manufacturing services – such as a student who is doing a nursing degree and wants to understand. robotics for use in the medical industry.
“It’s exciting that Aims is partnering with students and community businesses to help build the workforce we all depend on for tomorrow,” said Eric Fitzsimons, advisory board member from CNE Creative Enterprises, LLC. “The goal is to guide students through the selection of certifications to acquire the basic skills needed to enter or advance their careers in their respective industries.”
