The Fox family tour is officially over.
Apple TV+ power play Mosquito Beach has been canceled after two seasons, Deadline reports. The news comes two weeks after the series – which stars Justin Theroux, Melissa George, Logan Polish, and Gabriel Bateman – aired its season finale on January 6.
Based on Paul Theroux’s 1981 novel of the same name, which previously spawned a 1986 movie starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, the series revolved around Allie Fox (Theroux), an inventor who fled the US with her family only to discover that the US. Officials, warlords, and cartels are all on their heels.

In the second season, the Fox family found temporary safety in the Guatemalan jungle before encountering a problem with a local drug lord who, inevitably, sent them on the run again.
Speaking to EW earlier this month, George, who plays Fox’s family Margot, revealed that he still has hope for a third season renewal.
“There are people arriving on the Mosquito Coast who have escaped like us, you know?” he said at the time. “The boats are coming. Does this mean there are more people with the same problem as the Wolf? like the series finale, but I don’t know what will happen with the show. But fingers crossed!”
For now, it seems the dream has sunk.
