Actor Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul wedding functions in progress at Suniel Shetty’s beautiful Khandala farm. The sangeet was held on January 22 and videos of the music being played on the occasion are doing rounds on social media. Several guests were also seen dancing at the venue.
In the footage taken outside the venue, we can see guests dancing to Bollywood hits like “Besharam Rang”, “Humma Humma”, “Jumma Chumma”, “Jhanjariya”, “Dekha Jo Tujhe Yaar”, “Aaj Ki Party” in others.
The wedding festivities began with an intimate cocktail party on January 21, followed by mehendi and haldi on January 22. On January 23, the couple will tie the knot.
Athiya Shetty’s father Suniel Shetty on Sunday spoke to the paps outside the venue and assured them that Athiya and KL Rahul will have a media wedding. Suniel said, “Main kal bachhon ko leke aata hoon (I will come with the children tomorrow).” He then added in Marathi that, on Monday, he would take the whole family so the pope could take pictures. Suniel thanked them for their love and made sure that proper arrangements were made to help them.
A video has surfaced earlier showing the decorations at Khandala’s mansion in Suniel. The bungalow was decorated with magic lamps, flowers and golden shamiana. According to reports, there is a ‘no phone policy’ at the wedding. Guests are requested not to post photos or videos online.
Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul started dating in 2019 after meeting a mutual friend. However, it was last year when they decided to go public with their relationship.
