Following the announcement that Cape Hotels has joined the Lion Roars Group, travelers traveling on several popular tourist routes from tourism hotspot Cape Town can now be catered for by a single service provider.
The Lion Roars-Cape Hotels combination offers South African and international visitors the opportunity to stay in Cape Town and surrounding areas, Winelands, Hermanus, The Garden Route, Cape St Francis and surrounding areas, Port Elizabeth, Addo, The Eastern Cape, Swaziland and West coast. With the addition of 35 Cape Hotels, the Lion Roars Group now has 53 properties operating under its banner, with the combined marketing and management skills of both offices running smoothly.
Combining the services of Lion Roars and Cape Hotels strengthens the market share in Cape Town to PE.

Cape Hotels, run by Glenda Paterson, who has worked in the industry for a long time, has made a name for herself in the tourism industry and offers a wide range of products and services. Since starting in Zimbabwe in the mid-90s, Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges has expanded from Zambia to South Africa, and currently owns, operates and sells selected properties from Cape Town to the Eastern Cape safari belt.
With offices in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, a strong Central Reservations team, and a direct and online sales team, Lion Roars has developed expertise in the marketing and sales of resorts in southern Africa. “We are delighted that Glenda has agreed to act as an exclusive consultant to Cape Hotels on the new arrangement,” says Bailey. “His expertise and industry knowledge will be a wonderful addition and complement the capabilities of the Lion Roars team currently in place.”
