Actor Fahadh Faasil has dropped a big teaser about Tamil superstar Vijay’s much-awaited film, which is titled Thalapathy 67. He confirmed that the movie is part of director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s cinematic universe, which is called LCU.
“Since the film is in Lokesh’s universe, I can be in it,” said Fahadh at a recent press conference in Kochi. The actor speaks to the media for inspiration his upcoming work Thankam.
Fahadh Faasil played Amar in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s last film Vikram, starring Kamal Haasan in the lead role. At the end of the movie, Amar renounces his loyalty to his government job as a famous spy and acts brutally to avenge his wife’s murder. At the press conference, Fahadh was asked if there will be a stand-alone film revolving around Amar.
“I’m not late to share it. The announcement should come from the producers,” he replied.
The shooting of Thalapathy 67 is still going on. The producers kept everything so secret that they never officially announced its origin. It is expected that this week, the makers will release a trailer which gives a glimpse of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next film. The film is expected to hit the theaters later this year.
Fahadh Faasil now has several films in the works. He will next be seen in director Mari Selvaraj’s Maamannan. He also has Pushpa 2: The Rule, Dhoomam among others in various stages of production.
