Local retailers such as Pick n Pay and Shoprite Checkers have partnered with Capitec Bank to offer free cash to the bank’s customers nationwide for a three-month promotion. As a first for consumers in South Africa, it is part of the bank’s commitment to promote change in the banking practices of South Africans by providing customers with access to money and access to their money.
“Contrary to the recession, consumers have been forced to reduce their personal and household expenses. Therefore, our solution is twofold: First, help with well-known sellers who have the most common national figures, because this will provide more opportunities to earn more money. Second, encourage them to take money from these retailers by offering free cash for the months of May, June and July. new ATMs, thereby reducing the cost of getting their money,” said Carl Fischer, head of Capitec Bank: sales and corporate affairs.
Safe, cheap
Cash withdrawals are cheap and safe, as ATMs are a favorite of fraudsters, card-wielding and extortionists. Affiliate marketers also benefit from this process.
Fischer explains, “The rising cost of security and financial management are additional drivers that drive this activity. Partnerships with retailers allow them to manage their income from consumers without having to deal with high fees for savings in daily transactions. .”
Retailers also include Pep Stores, Boxer and selected Spar stores. To get their money back, customers can withdraw money for free when shopping, except for Pick n Pay, where you don’t have to make a purchase to withdraw money.
“Until now, customers have enjoyed unlimited cash withdrawals from their partners for less than R1. Now, with the ‘free’ promotion for three months, we hope to encourage South Africans to use this service and enjoy the savings now and in the long term,” concluded Fischer.
