ROCKVILLE CENTER, NY – Bowlers at Maple Lanes RVC are getting something new on the lanes.
The family-friendly venue in Rockville Center combines graphics, lighting and video game concepts to take gaming to the next level.
Maple Lanes is using technology developed by Spark Augmented Reality Bowling, being one of the first bowling alleys in the New York area to feature this advanced technology.
“We are excited to offer our customers a new opportunity to exercise,” said Joe LaSpina, Vice President of Maple Family Centers, a family-owned business in Rockville Center that owns Maple Lanes RVC and four other ballparks. “Spark plays up the game, and makes social events, birthday parties and family outings even more fun.”
Players choose from imaginary themes – all of which are shown on the road. Scoring is also fun, as it provides customizable in-game notifications, and special graphics add to the pin-scoring experience.
Spark is the innovation of industry leader Brunswick.
“Guests can choose their Spark experience directly on their Sync tablets, choose from over 15 animation themes and display their photos, stats, and stats along the way,” said Corey Dykstra, CEO of Brunswick Bowling.
