Bookouture is merging its marketing and advertising teams into one unified digital team as Alex Crow and Melanie Price are promoted.
Crow, currently the director of digital marketing, will be promoted to director of digital communications upon his return from sabbatical in March and will be leading the new team. He joined Bookouture in 2016, rising to the position of digital marketing director in 2020.
Price, who is a chief marketing officer, joined Bookouture from HarperCollins in 2021 and has been running the marketing department for Crow’s week for six months. He will be promoted to digital marketing manager, and will continue to report to Crow in his new role.
Price will lead the day-to-day management of the group’s marketing and campaign operations, allowing Crow to lead on several new projects in 2023.
Crow will also take over communications at Thread, Bookouture’s non-fiction publication, with Myrto Kalavrezou, Thread’s campaign manager, reporting to him from March onwards. And Crow will be in charge of coordinating Bookouture’s marketing and advertising teams. Kim Nash, digital media director, will continue to report directly to Bookouture md Jenny Geras.
