HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – On Monday, Valley Health saw patients at its new Pea Ridge facility for the first time. The 20,000-square-foot facility has 27 test rooms and offers a variety of services.
“When choosing a new location, we always look at the needs of each community we’re in,” said Mary-Beth Brubeck, chief financial officer.
Patients will have access to annual exams, blood tests, infertility treatment, birth control, birth control, and bladder disease care.
“We have operating rooms where we can do minor procedures other than being in the hospital. Many services that will help us take better care of the community,” said Dr. Amber Kuhl.
Valley Health doctors and officials believe the new location near US 60 will help ease the burden of travel for patients in the Pea Ridge area.
“I think it’s really important for patients to have a neighborhood where they can get in their car and drive a short distance that’s not too far from home. They can get the care they need,” said Dr. Caleb Huff.
The building will also have a business center that will house payments, sales, finance, and various administrative functions. Valley Health officials say quality care is always a priority and will be guaranteed at the new location.
“I think all of our providers are committed to this mission and making sure we can take care of patients regardless of their ability to pay. That’s always important to us,” Brubeck said.
