Nikki Bella made sure to wear her wedding dress despite her reputation.
The WWE legend bought the first dress in her first relationship with ex John Cena before they split in 2018 after six years together, and she wore the same dress when she tied the knot with Artem Chigvintsev last summer.
She told E! Story: “You dream of having that day with that dress and it’s something you love as a girl or a woman, and for me that’s what those dresses were.
“When I saw it, I thought about me and myself in it and it’s something I really like – and I paid for it.
“So I felt when Artem and I were planning our wedding, I couldn’t help but feel, ‘Why should I give up my favorite dress because I might be walking down another street?’
“I just felt like, no, this was for me and no one else but me.”
The 39-year-old star approached her husband about the idea to see if he “had a problem”, and he admitted that he “wouldn’t have worn it” if he didn’t want her anymore.
However, the 40-year-old ‘Dancing With The Stars’ star said: “I didn’t mind. Nicole was always asking me ‘would it be okay?’
“I honestly think people make great things. I didn’t care at all. Like you start putting energy out where it shouldn’t be.”
“This shouldn’t affect us getting married. It was totally fine. But I didn’t see the dress until the last minute.”
